MARCHING band

The band at 609 Steveston Squadron started from humble beginnings. Originally branching off from 655 Richmond Squadron’s Tiger Flight in 2008, the Griffin Flight soon took on a life of its own, beginning with the help of many experienced musicians and veteran cadets from the old squadron.

A young, ambitious, and entertaining marching band, Griffin Flight is expecting to expand and grow in the coming years. Holding on to tradition, through a combination of conventional and unconventional methods, the band aims to reach new heights as they continue to deliver their best musical training to the youth of Richmond.

If you are interested in joining the band (Griffin Flight), please reach out to Sgt Sofie Yeung.

Effective SPeaking

One of the toughest things for a person to do in life is to speak in public. It requires being confident in ones abilities. We practice and fine tune the art of speaking in Public, allowing members to gain confidence and leadership skills along the way. Year over year, 609 has always produced some great candidates for this program and this year is no different!

If you are interested in joining the effective speaking team, please reach out to WO2 Olivia Sun at OSun447@cdt.cadets.gc.ca
